Endowed Chair in Semiconductor Research

Responsibilities
Seek external funding and coordinate interdisciplinary grants with both internal and external collaborators
Conduct and publish original research on semiconductors
Lead interdisciplinary collaboration with faculty across the university
Develop and maintain an active research agenda
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses on semiconductors and related subjects
Mentor and advise students
Contribute to the workforce development and development of the semiconductor curriculum
Participate in service activities at the department, college, and university levels
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in a relevant field related to semiconductor research
Strong research record supported by external funding
Experience in semiconductor materials and quantum technologies
Experience in device design and architecture
Experience in simulation and modelling
Experience in semiconductor manufacturing
Experience in packaging and integration
Experience in AI applications in chips
Ability to seek external funding and coordinate interdisciplinary grants
Ability to conduct and publish original research on semiconductors
Ability to lead interdisciplinary collaboration with faculty
Ability to develop and maintain an active research agenda
Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses on semiconductors and related subjects
Ability to mentor and advise students
Ability to contribute to workforce development and development of the semiconductor curriculum
