Responsibilities
Apply cash receipts to customer accounts timely and accurately following customer remittance and complete spreadsheet for daily deposits
Maintain accuracy of detailed customer balances ensuring agreement with customer expectations
Perform dunning procedures to drive timely customer payments, while documenting communications with customers
Maintain backup of all customer payments and provide as needed
Record journal entries for miscellaneous cash receipts
Prepare and initiate all outgoing electronic payments
Ensure that all bank receipts and payments are correctly recorded in the accounting system
Maintain Accounts Payable Function including processing invoices and check requests, issuing payment and performing research as necessary, ensuring proper approvals prior to payment
Coordinate with Purchasing and Receiving to ensure proper accounting for supplier’s invoices and unmatched receipts
Maintain records of payables invoices and provide copies as needed
Keep AR and AP balances fully reconciled with thorough explanations of aged and reconciling items
Maintain accurate customer and supplier records
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Two-year associate's degree
3-5 years experience in payables and receivables
Proficient with ten-key adding machine
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Experience with computerized accounting systems desired
