Responsibilities

Performs radiologic studies within their licensure limits; obtains and documents pertinent patient history; explains the procedures to the patient; answers the patient’s questions; gains the patient’s written consent

Uses safe radiation practices according to ARRA regulations and licensing restrictions while using best practice approaches to everyday issues, such as reducing dose exposures to neonatal and adolescent patients

Works closely with the Radiologists and other inter and intra departmental healthcare team members to ensure proper delivery of coordinated services, to include assisting in other modalities, or transporting patients, film cassettes, or other medically necessary equipment

Exercises fiscal responsibility by ensuring proper inventory control and equipment performance, as defined by the department CRC; ensures equipment is properly maintained and proactively addresses all equipment concerns
