Responsibilities
0-to-1 Crypto Product Leadership: Lead the design lifecycle for complex, high-impact crypto features across mobile and web, taking projects from ambiguous concepts to final launch to power the next generation of financial experiences
Strategic Roadmap Definition: Partner with Product, Content, Data Science, Engineering, and Research to create well-articulated experiment plans and shape the strategic roadmap for the Crypto business unit
Designing for Trust & Security: Incorporate data insights and user research to craft solutions that not only delight customers but establish deep trust in our wallet, exchange, and security features
Technical Mastery & Prototyping: Rapidly produce concepts ranging from low-fi sketches to pixel-perfect prototypes, navigating technical system constraints to make complex blockchain interactions feel simple and secure
Organizational Leadership & Mentorship: Act as a mentor and standard-bearer within the design organization, coordinating across product areas to align the larger SoFi ecosystem and helping to grow and mature the design culture
Iterative Execution: Collaborate closely with design managers and cross-functional partners to iterate quickly based on feedback, ensuring legal, compliance, and industry best practices are met in a fast-moving regulatory environment
Design Communication: Present design concepts and clearly communicate design intent and rationale through comprehensive design specs and compelling presentations to executive stakeholders
Design Systems & Scalability: Work with established design systems to ensure consistency and scalability while contributing to their evolution as specific Crypto product experiences change and grow
Qualification
Required
12+ yrs experience of experience working in product design/UX roles
Strong design point of view, craft and aesthetics across all common platforms (Android, iOS, & Responsive Web)
Track record for leadership -- delivering end to end solutions from initial concepts to measurable outcomes
Strong collaboration & influence skills across cross-functional teams including research, product management, engineering and marketing
Ability to leverage user research, user needs and product data to inform product definition and design solutions
Ability to navigate and manage senior leadership, representing design perspective and advocating for user needs in the context of business and technology drivers
Strong expertise in common design tools (ie Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, etc)
Experience working in an Agile development environment using tools like Jira and Confluence
A portfolio URL or PDF to submit with application with examples of mobile and responsive web product design
Preferred
Crypto/Web3 Native: Personal or professional experience with crypto wallets, exchanges, or DeFi protocols. You understand the difference between custody and self-custody
Motion Design: Ability to use motion to guide users and create moments of delight in the UI
