Workday Financials Senior Analyst
Howard University is seeking a highly skilled Workday Financials Senior Analyst to support the stability, optimization, and ongoing enhancement of the Workday Financials platform. Responsibilities
Execute the day-to-day post-production support for Workday Financials, including enhancement and optimization, break/fix resolution, release management, and deployment of new features and functionality
Lead functional analysis, design, configuration, testing, and delivery of Workday Financials solutions to support Finance Administration and institutional business needs
Maintain and optimize accounting configurations, posting rules, validations, and related business processes to ensure accurate financial transactions and reporting
Coordinate and lead system testing activities, including regression testing and user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure system changes are production-ready and minimally disruptive
Provide training and ongoing support to end-users on the effective use of Workday Financials, ensuring users are fully equipped to leverage the platform’s capabilities
Lead system testing for new features, configurations, and system upgrades, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to business processes
Partner with subject matter experts and cross function teams to document requirements, develop use cases, and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Collaborate with Finance leadership and team members to support post-production road-mapping, continuous improvement initiatives, and timely delivery of system solutions
Qualification
Required
MBA, MIS, or a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, computer science or related field from an accredited University, with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience
Workday certification or demonstrated proficiency in at least two Workday Financial Management areas: Banking and Settlement, Business Assets, Expenses, Foundational Data Model (FDM), Projects, Record-to-Report. Candidates who do not currently hold required certification must obtain or demonstrate proficiency within twelve (12) months of employment
Experience with Workday's reporting tools, such as Report Writer
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain respectful, collaborative working relationships with staff, faculty, students, and stakeholders
