Departmental Analyst-A 12 - Policy Liaison

Responsibilities

Provide research and policy support to the Legislative Liaison and the department
Advise on policy planning, coordinating, and ensuring steps are taken to develop key initiatives that are crosscutting throughout EGLE
Conduct preliminary research, assess, analyze, present findings, and develop policy recommendations for final consideration by the Legislative Liaison and Executive Office staff
Represent the department at various internal and external meetings and coordinate with appropriate staff to carry out the mission of the department
Collaborate with department staff and, when appropriate, key stakeholders

Required

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major
Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement
Do you possess at least three years of professional experience?
How many years of professional business and administrative experience do you have in a policy development or implementation program?
How many years of experience do you have researching and analyzing legislation and/or application/implementation of administrative rules?
Work must be performed in the state of Michigan
Do you understand this job requires working in EGLE's downtown Lansing office on Tuesdays through Thursdays?
