Director, Bureau of Program Integrity
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts' Office of the Inspector General (OIG) is seeking a Director for its Bureau of Program Integrity. The role involves managing staff, leading monitoring activities, and ensuring the integrity of public benefit programs while preventing fraud, waste, and abuse in public funds.

Responsibilities
Developing projects and reviews focused on monitoring the quality, integrity and efficiency of EOHHS agencies and programs
Formulating and presenting evidence-based findings and recommendations to EOHHS agencies and programs
Leading meetings with senior leaders across EOHHS and its agencies about issues, findings and recommendations
Supervising BPI's response to fraud, waste and abuse complaints
Writing and editing timely, clear and accurate letters and reports to summarize findings and recommendations
Ensuring that recommendations are implemented and conducting necessary follow-up with agencies and programs to achieve objectives
Managing, developing and growing the division team of analysts and investigators
Qualification
Required
At least 10 years' experience in related areas, such as public administration, public policy, policy analysis, program evaluation, public health, or compliance
Substantive knowledge of public benefits programs, including eligibility criteria and intake procedures, eligibility regulations, case management systems, and controls for fraud prevention and detection
At least ten years of management experience as a team leader or supervisor
Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Excellent analytical skills that feature an evidence-based approach to analyzing issues and making recommendations
Familiarity with Excel and other data tools to read and analyze data
Excellent research, writing, and editing skills, including the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner
Ability to keep meticulous and consistent documentation of projects, reviews, and investigations
Strong interpersonal skills to build internal and external relationships
Ability to represent the OIG in a professional and respectful manner
Ability to remain flexible and to show initiative when completing assignments
Preferred
Relevant graduate or advanced undergraduate coursework, including public administration, public policy, policy analysis, social work, law, public health, or a business-related field such as compliance or nonprofit management
Experience conducting investigations, program reviews or compliance
Work experience related to EOHHS health and human service agencies and programs at the federal and state level
Work experience in the fields of human services program administration or public health
Excellent and demonstrated proficiency in MS Office 365 Outlook, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint and other commonly used computer software applications
