Mopec is a company seeking a Buyer to join their supply chain team. The Buyer will be responsible for purchasing products, executing purchase orders, and ensuring appropriate stock levels while negotiating with suppliers.

Responsibilities

Execute Purchase Orders to MRP driven plan

Purchase goods and services through standard processes to ensure an adequate supply of material to support the company's objectives. This includes direct and indirect Purchase Orders

Update all Purchase Orders with Supplier Confirmation information (delivery dates, quantities, etc.)

Process Purchase Requisitions. Review each item for quantity, price, product specification, and delivery requirements

Respond to internal RFI’s in a timely manner

Update Master Files with Supplier driven data (minimum order quantities, multiple order quantities, etc.)

Coordinate the integration of all material deliveries into the supply chain to ensure on time deliveries

Review and react to Materials Requirement Plan (MRP) messages to ensure a steady flow of material to support committed sales orders, safety stock, and forecasts requirements

Expedite and/or research missing, late, or incorrect orders

Communicate Short Term and Long Term Forecasts to Suppliers

Create and monitor sample submission Purchase Orders

Maintain dynamic and static purchasing data related to business unit(s)

Make recommendations for productivity and/or method improvements
