Engineering Technician II
The City of Fort Worth is one of the fastest growing large cities in the U.S., and they are seeking an Engineering Technician II to join their Development Services X Team. This role involves performing technical duties in reviewing and processing building applications while ensuring exceptional customer service and effective communication with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Responsible for reading engineering plans, water and sewer maps
Coordination between the X Team and Alliance Partners (Water, Storm Water, TPW, Backflow, and others) to expedite building permit plan reviews
Assist X Team customers with exceptional customer service as they maneuver through the development process
Present plan review comments in meetings with engineers, architects, contractors and owners
Assist in tracking active X Team projects to ensure workflows are completed on time
Provides assistance and back-up for the Project Development Coordinator
Qualification
Required
Associate Degree in Engineering, Architecture or related field
Two (2) years of increasingly responsible technical engineering experience in the areas of drafting, project design, review/analysis of projects for conformance of established standards, and/or land surveying
Preferred
Experience with Geographical Imaging Software (GIS), Accela and Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience reading and interpreting Civil construction plans and specifications
Possess an understanding of local government policy and Fort Worth development processes
Previous municipal government experience
