Responsibilities

Serve as a DTA Operations Center of Excellence (CoE) Senior Cloud Engineer

Design the next generation cloud architecture

Build and secure the future of enterprise Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other multi-cloud environments

Be the government's senior technical authority in cloud infrastructure

Work hand-in-hand with system integrators to drive technical execution

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Knowledge of Software as a Service (SaaS) platform architecture, multi-tenant infrastructure, and cloud-native application lifecycle management—combined with expertise in system integration, Information Technology (IT) acquisition strategy, and vendor engagement—sufficient to lead the design, development, and governance of scalable solutions across enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, and/or Outsystems

Knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of complex management processes and systems

Knowledge of program management, project management, Department of Defense (DoD) financial planning and Program Objective Memorandum (POM) processes to identify and defend requirements, integrate activities, and lead teams throughout the command and in interagency environments

Knowledge of life cycle process for systems and trends in present and emerging areas of information technology systems and processes and ability to develop innovative solutions internally by leveraging Air Force (AF) and Department of War (DoW) capabilities and through productive partnerships with industry and academia

Knowledge of Air Force, Deputy Chief of Staff for Manpower, Personnel and Services (AF/A1) Information Technology (IT) needs and existing 'state of the industry' practices in providing comprehensive Information Security

Skill and ability to establish technical standards and drive the adoption of modern SaaS technologies to enable operational agility, enhance user experience, and ensure mission-aligned digital transformation across the Air Force A1 Enterprise

Ability to continuously align mission needs with evolving SaaS platform capabilities, leveraging enterprise architecture artifacts and strategic planning methodologies

The employee must maintain expert knowledge of the Joint Technical Architecture and the DoW Architecture Framework

Cyberspace Qualification is a condition of employment. This position includes Cyberspace work as a paramount duty requirement. Per Department of Defense Manual (DoDM) 8140.03, para 4.2.a.(2)., requires foundational qualification requirements within 9 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role and resident qualification requirements within 12 months of assignment to a cyberspace work role. A waiver of these requirements may be granted per DoDM 8140.03. Failure to achieve and maintain the proper Cyberspace Qualification may result in removal from this position
