Bookkeeper (Professional Services)

They are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full-Time Bookkeeper to provide bookkeeping services for a portfolio of professional services clients, ensuring accurate financial records and timely reporting.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts for multiple client entities
Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
Process and post vendor bills, customer invoices, credit card transactions, and expense reports
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and other balance sheet accounts on a regular basis
Prepare and post journal entries as needed
Maintain supporting documentation for all financial transactions
Process payroll and maintain payroll records
Prepare financial reports and assist with month end close
Maintain organized digital and physical financial records
Improve and document bookkeeping processes and internal controls
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking
Support special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as assigned
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Required

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) ideal
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field ideal
Experience with payroll processing and sales tax filings
Familiarity with budgeting and financial forecasting
