Responsibilities
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot pilot testing equipment including pumps, mixers, valves, sensors, control systems, and chemical delivery systems
Design, build, and operate bench-scale and pilot-scale testing setups
Conduct water and wastewater testing in both laboratory and field environments
Support system start-ups, commissioning activities, and performance testing
Manage and execute assigned pilot testing and research projects
Analyze process performance and document test results
Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and operating manuals
Train and support clients or internal teams on pilot system operation
Communicate findings, test results, and recommendations to engineering and business stakeholders
Support continuous improvement of testing methodologies and treatment processes
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Strong mechanical and process troubleshooting skills
Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and control systems
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
Technical documentation and report-writing skills
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Environmental or Chemical preferred; Mechanical or Electrical considered)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Willingness to work in field and laboratory environments
Willingness to travel up to 25% (NY, CA, and OH)
Preferred
Laboratory experience with water analysis and standard testing methods
Up to 2 years of experience in water and/or wastewater treatment
Knowledge of biological wastewater treatment processes (activated sludge experience a plus)
Prior experience supporting pilot-scale or field-based treatment systems
