Tovala is a food-tech company reinventing home cooking to save consumers time. As an Assembler on Tovala’s food production team, you will be involved in food preparation and packing operations, which includes portioning, packaging, and preparing meals for shipping to customers.

Responsibilities

Portioning veggies, grains, spices, and sauces, into small plastic bags of corresponding containers
Inspecting food products for quality
Making small cardboard boxes
Packing products into boxes
Insulating shipping boxes
Labeling finished products for shipping
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Working with the team to meet daily production goals

Qualification

Food preparationPackaging operationsQuality inspectionBasic arithmeticFollowing instructions

Required

High school diploma or GED preferred
Ability to follow written or verbal instructions
Ability to weigh, measure, or otherwise portion food
Basic arithmetic
Standing and/or walking up to 8+ hours per day in a cold environment (39 degrees F)
Lifting, pushing, and/or pulling up to 50 pounds frequently
Use of hands and fingers for fine manipulation
Vision for machine operation and food handling
Hearing
Wear personal protective equipment for food safety

Preferred

Previous food or other manufacturing experience preferred
