Assistant Payments Manager

Responsibilities

Providing successful leadership, direction and management to the Payments Department
Ensuring member and TruStone Financial Credit Union concerns and/or requests are answered and/or solved in a timely and accurate manner, both in person and over the phone through the direct supervision of the Payments department
Coaching and mentoring staff to achieve corporate goals, department goals and strategic initiatives
Remaining current on all aspects of the Payments program including updates or changes to regulatory compliance and system updates
Demonstrating and living TruStone Financial’s Core Values and Mission in all interactions with all internal and external members

Required

Availability to work 40 hours per week Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm at our Burnsville Administrative Office location; exempt
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business, or equivalent work experience
4+ years of accounting experience and working knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures and the ACH network
Thorough understanding and knowledge of Federal Reserve guidelines and operating procedures
2+ years of previous supervisory experience and proven leadership skills
PC experience to include general working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet, and e-mail or equivalents
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and handle large volumes of detail with accuracy
Ability to be self-directed with strong initiative and decision-making skills
Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism while working under pressure
Good interpersonal and proven leadership skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and all its provisions
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and various background checks
Regular and reliable attendance at the workplace

Preferred

Experience working with a variety of payment systems, including ACH, Wires, share drafts and faster payment methods
AAP (Accredited ACH Professional)
Previous financial institution experience
