Entry Level Water/Wastewater Engineer

They are seeking an Entry Level Water/Wastewater Engineer to support municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects, gaining hands-on experience while working alongside a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

Assist in the planning, design, and drafting of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including water mains, sanitary sewers, pump stations, and related appurtenances
Prepare plans, profiles, details, and calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software
Support the preparation and submission of permit applications and technical documents to local, state, and federal agencies (e.g., NJDEP)
Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
Work closely with project managers, senior engineers, surveyors, and other disciplines to support project delivery from concept through construction
Participate in coordination meetings and assist with responding to agency and client comments
Prepare engineering reports, technical memoranda, feasibility studies, and design calculations to support project planning and execution

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
0–2 years of relevant engineering experience; internship or co-op experience in water, wastewater, or municipal engineering is a plus
Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D; familiarity with hydraulic or stormwater modeling software is a plus
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective written and verbal communication abilities
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a team-based environment

Preferred

Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is not required but encouraged for future growth
