Part-Time Senior Research Engineer
Baylor University is seeking a Part-Time Senior Research Engineer in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department. The role involves assisting military and government stakeholders with SMART Hub technologies, coaching research professors, and tracking DoD priorities to align research with defense needs.

Responsibilities
Assist military, government, and industry stakeholders in understanding and applying SMART Hub technologies to mission needs
Coach and support SMART Hub’s 25 research professors in preparing clear, informative presentations and technical demonstrations for periodic DoD engagements
Track emerging DoD priorities, programs, and funding opportunities to help grow and establish SMART Hub as a Department of Defense Spectrum Innovation Center, and to align SMART Hub research with present and future defense needs
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
Ability to comply with university policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
Qualification
Required
A Doctoral degree and ten years of relevant work experience are required
All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Preferred
A Doctoral degree and more than ten years of relevant work experience is preferred
A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of one another
