Responsibilities
Develop features and bug fixes for the GraphQL Sports APIs
Debug and identify data problems; create tickets for the ingestion team
Participate in code reviews
Coordinate with the web frontend team and other client teams to support Sports API data gaps
Support the end-of-life (EOL) transition for legacy sports APIs by addressing feature gaps in modern GraphQL APIs
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in Java or Kotlin, and server-side API programming on Linux environments
Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithm design
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
Develop features and bug fixes for the GraphQL Sports APIs
Debug and identify data problems; create tickets for the ingestion team
Participate in code reviews
Coordinate with the web frontend team and other client teams to support Sports API data gaps
Support the end-of-life (EOL) transition for legacy sports APIs by addressing feature gaps in modern GraphQL APIs
Preferred
Previous experience in sports or a related field is highly desirable
Experience developing GraphQL servers and familiarity with relational databases like MySQL
Independent worker with strong collaboration and communication skills
Ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment and a passion for sports
