Responsibilities
Verify insurance benefits
Obtain insurance authorizations
Schedule procedures, as well as pre and post-op appointments
Collect surgery deposits, depending on insurance benefits
Coordinate with various facilities where procedures are performed
Ensure communication between surgical assistants, facilities, and office staff, so that surgeries go smoothly
Answer and promptly return patient phone calls
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Positive, friendly personality
Ability to work as a team with our other surgery scheduler
Physician office experience
Excellent customer service skills
Strong organizational skills a must
Reliable transportation
Ability to prioritize tasks
Preferred
ENT experience preferred but not required
Greenway Health PrimeSuite software experience a plus
2 years procedure scheduling preferred
