The role involves developing key client relationships, leading strategic growth initiatives, and collaborating with various business sectors to enhance WSP's brand and impact.

Responsibilities

Spearhead strategic growth initiatives such as major events, city-focused projects, bus rapid transit advisory services and workforce development programs that align with WSP’s vision for sustainable growth and community impact. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and deliver initiatives that address emerging trends and client needs
Cultivate and expand relationships with key clients, city leaders, and workforce partners. Identify and pursue opportunities that position WSP as a leader in urban transformation, talent development, and event management
Partner with leadership across Transportation & Infrastructure, Earth & Environment, Property & Buildings, Power & Energy, and Federal sectors to integrate strategic initiatives into broader business objectives
Lead or advise on high-profile projects and programs, ensuring innovative solutions and best practices are applied to major events, city initiatives, and workforce strategies
Mentor professionals within the company and support efforts to attract top talent, with a focus on building a diverse and future-ready workforce
Monitor and analyze local, state, and national trends, policies, and legislation related to cities, workforce development, and event management. Advocate for WSP’s interests and proactively address industry changes

Required

Bachelor's degree in planning, engineering, business, or related field
Minimum 15 years of infrastructure consulting/management consulting experience, including at least five years of successful experience in developing client relationships and business development
Established relationships with key decision makers in public and private sectors, especially within urban and workforce domains
Demonstrated experience leading by influence
Experience in leading and winning major strategic pursuits
Excellent communication skills (presenting and writing)
Organized, self-starter with a strong entrepreneurial spirit

Preferred

Master's Degree is preferred
