Responsibilities

Has hands-on L2 Application Production Support

Has supported trading systems in a live market environment

Is comfortable being the first point of contact during incidents

Can restore production quickly under tight SLAs

Daily work in Linux / UNIX environments

Hands-on scripting with Python / Perl / Shell

Ability to:

Analyze logs

Run troubleshooting commands

Debug small scripts

Create ad-hoc automation tools

Has worked with Splunk / Geneos / ITRS

Understands alert fatigue and noise reduction

Knows incident, change, and release management (ITIL-style)

Can lead daily change calls and coordinate global teams
