Trading Assistant/Trade Ops

Nextera Search is a global trading firm based in New York City seeking an experienced Trading Assistant / Trade Operations professional. This role works closely with trading desks to support high-volume, time-sensitive trading activity across international equity and ETF products.

Responsibilities

Support day-to-day trade operations for ADRs and International ETFs across global markets
Manage trade booking, allocations, confirmations, and settlement in coordination with trading, middle office, and external counterparties
Resolve trade breaks, fails, and reconciliation issues across multiple regions and custodians
Partner closely with traders and execution teams to ensure smooth post-trade workflows
Coordinate with prime brokers, custodians, and clearing firms on operational matters
Assist with process improvements and automation initiatives as the desk scales
Perform other duties, as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree required; strong academic background preferred
2–5 years of experience in Trade Operations, Middle Office, or Post-Trade support
Experience supporting front-office trading desks in a high-volume environment
Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, settlement mechanics, and global market nuances
Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working under pressure

Preferred

Direct exposure to ADRs, International Equities, and/or International ETFs strongly preferred
