They are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Developer/Business Analyst to design, develop, and implement scalable solutions on the ServiceNow platform while acting as a technical liaison for stakeholders and providing mentorship to other developers.
Responsibilities
Act as a technical consultant to customers and business stakeholders. Lead requirement gathering sessions, translate complex business needs into detailed technical specifications, and drive the functional and technical design for ServiceNow solutions
Design and implement complex ServiceNow architectures, leveraging Scoped Applications, Workflow/Flow Designer, and integration Hub to automate enterprise workflows and integrations
Implement and manage ServiceNow Data Sources, Transform Maps, and Field Mappings to automate and normalize data imports from external systems
Play a key role in the technical design of ServiceNow solutions, including custom applications, integrations, and workflows. Be responsible for adjusting the technical design and code as needed during the development lifecycle to meet evolving business needs and technical constraints
Develop and maintain robust client side and server-side scripts, including Script Includes, Business Rules, UI policies, Client Scripts, and GlideAjax
Configure and maintain ServiceNow LDAP integration under LDAP system module, managing connection settings, scheduled imports, and users/groups synchronization for enterprise Active Directories
Lead the hands-on configuration, scripting, and implementation of complex ServiceNow solutions, leveraging Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, and Flow Designer
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other developers. Participate in code reviews and enforce development standards and best practices to ensure high-quality, maintainable code
Develop and implement complex integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using REST, SOAP, JDBC, MID Server connections and other integration technologies
Maintain in-depth expertise in the ServiceNow platform, staying up-to-date with new features, releases, and best practices. Identify opportunities to leverage new platform capabilities to improve existing solutions and drive innovation
Monitor instance health, optimize query performance, troubleshoot system logs, fix scripts, and backgrounds jobs to maintain platform stability
Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, technical specifications, and user guides
Contribute to and enforce ServiceNow development standards, ensuring the health, security, and performance of the platform
Manage and execute instance cloning, ensuring pre-clone and post-clone activities are properly handled across development, test, and production instances
Oversee the creation, review, and migration of Update Sets to maintain code integrity and synchronization between instances, following release of management practices
Collaborate with the CMDB and Discovery team members to maintain data integrity and compliance with ITIL best practice
Qualification
Required
5+ years of dedicated experience in ServiceNow development and implementation
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related subject
Deep, hands-on expertise in ServiceNow platform development and configuration, including core modules (ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HR) and custom application development
Proficiency in the GlideRecord, GlideAjax and ServiceNow's scripting model to manipulate data and automate complex business logic
Experience developing scoped applications and customizing Service Portal / Employee Service Center Portal widgets
Hands-on experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub spokes (such as SuccessFactors spoke) and system web services for orchestration and third-party integrations
Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Scheduled Jobs
Experience with front-end development using HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks
Strong understanding of backend development using Server-side JavaScript, Flow Designer, Database and Data Modeling, and ServiceNow platform tables
Demonstrate knowledge of ServiceNow data model, CMDB class hierarchy, ACLs, and role-based access control configurations
Expertise with REST APIs, SOAP, and ServiceNow Integration Hub
Experience with Agile development methodologies managing stories in ServiceNow Agile Development and contribute to sprint planning
Ability to design secure and reusable code modules while maintaining strict adherence to ServiceNow coding conventions and performance guidelines
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to interface directly with customers to define technical requirements
Preferred
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) and/or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications are highly desirable
ServiceNow System Administrator and ITIL Foundation certifications are considered a plus
