Responsibilities

Provide engineering and fluid systems engineering support to the program office

Recommend course of action(s) for unexpected technical and programmatic issues related to RDT&E

Perform technical planning, cost, schedule, risk, supportability, and effectiveness analysis for total systems; analyses performed at concept, design, test, evaluation, and operational phases

Review and develop analytical and technical input needed in order to evaluate documentation and development of briefs to ensure accurate, timely and essential information is proved to decision makers

Prepare Unclassified and Classified briefs for audiences up to and including the Flag level

Attend meetings and specified Program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)

Set high personal standards for performance and conduct

Demonstrate ability to be a team player; works well with others; contributes positively to work/team environment while continually seeks ways to enhance contribution to the team

Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

Perform a variety of tasks under general supervision

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance

U.S Citizenship required

Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

Excellent written and oral communications skills

Ability to multitask effectively

Ability to use Microsoft Office packages effectively

Ability to be flexible both in relation to job-specification and schedules

Ability to solve problems

Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred

At least 0-2 years of experience in engineering

Experience with Navy acquisition and/or in-service programs

Active Duty Experience in the submarine service preferred

Recent experience in Team Submarine would be ideal
