Responsibilities

Apply your engineering expertise to improve healthcare facilities that serve American Indian and Alaska Native communities
Lead facility design, construction, and maintenance projects that directly impact patient care environments
Ensure hospitals, clinics, and related infrastructure meet safety, accessibility, and sustainability standards
Collaborate with healthcare staff and technical professionals to deliver modern, reliable facilities that support critical services
Play a vital role in strengthening community health by ensuring facilities are built to last and ready to serve future generations

Required

U.S. Citizenship is required
Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959
Maintain Professional Engineer License
Successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
Undergo a pre-employment fingerprint check and background investigation
Degree: Engineering
Combination of education and experience -- college-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering
Professional registration or licensure -- Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE)
Evidence of having successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination
Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences
Successful completion of a curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service
Currently hold a Professional Engineer License issued by any U.S. state, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico
