Responsibilities
Prepare structural calculations, construction drawings, and detail sheets in compliance with current building codes
Research and apply applicable codes and regulations to design solutions
Participate in site visits, documenting existing conditions and translating findings into design documents
Perform structural assessments for renovations, expansions, and retrofit projects
Review shop drawings and support construction administration, including RFIs and field issues
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and permitting authorities throughout project phases
Assist with permitting and respond to reviewer comments
Support the structural team with day-to-day project execution
Report directly to a Project Leader or Senior Structural Engineer
Qualification
Required
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with 2–4 years of registration in Structural Engineering
Experience designing Structural Steel, Concrete, Masonry, Light Gauge Metal, and Wood structures
Ability to manage multiple projects across different design and construction phases
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
Experience with Enercalc, RISA, and MS Office
Preferred
SE license or having passed the SE exam is a plus
Post-Tension and/or Mass Timber experience is a plus
Experience leading or managing engineers on projects
