Responsibilities
Administer, maintain, and optimize Debian Linux servers in production environments
Design, write, and maintain robust Bash scripts for automation, monitoring, and system management
Manage, tune, and troubleshoot MySQL databases, including performance optimization and backups
Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and infrastructure automation
Monitor system health, investigate issues, and implement long-term solutions
Collaborate with developers, security, and operations teams to improve reliability and performance
Document systems, processes, and operational procedures
Participate in on-call and incident response as needed
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience working with Linux systems, with a strong focus on Debian
Extensive hands-on experience with Bash scripting for automation and system administration
Extensive knowledge of MySQL, including query optimization and administration
Solid understanding of networking concepts, system security, and performance tuning
Experience working in production environments with high availability requirements
Preferred
Experience with Perl for legacy systems or scripting
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (MRTG, Splunk)
