French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a Project Manager - Electrical for their office in Wall, NJ. The role involves managing electrical design projects from schematic design through construction administration, serving as the primary point of contact for clients, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Consulting

Responsibilities

Manage electrical design projects for commercial, institutional, healthcare and industrial from schematic design through construction administration
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and project stakeholders on electrical scope and deliverables
Coordinate electrical design with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, structural and civil disciplines
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and work plans
Review and oversee the preparation of electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports
Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards, including NEC, NFPA, IES, energy codes, and local regulations
Lead and mentor electrical designers and engineers, providing technical guidance and quality control
Conduct internal quality reviews and ensure consistency with firm standards
Participate in construction administration activities, including submittal reviews, RFIs, site visits, and field coordination
Support business development efforts by assisting with proposals, scope development, and client presentations as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Professional Engineer (PE) license in NJ
Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering design for building systems
Previous experience managing projects and leading design teams
Strong working knowledge of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
Proficiency with industry software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design tools
Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
