Responsibilities

Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services
Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts
Lead the Purchasing team to utilize an MRP system to effectively order parts at lowest cost at required quality levels, with no stock-outs
Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to drive and align production schedules with demand forecasts and SIOP process
Create/lead SIOP process
Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies including export controls
Manage inbound and outbound logistics processes to ensure cost-effective delivery of materials and improve customer satisfaction
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including senior leadership team, sales, engineering, marketing, IT, and customer service, to ensure alignment of supply chain activities with overall business objectives
Monitor and support service metrics to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Track and report on key sourcing metrics, including cost savings, supplier performance, and compliance with procurement policies
Identify opportunities for improvement and drive initiatives to achieve sourcing goals
Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals
Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to financial targets

Required

At least 10 years of purchasing & logistics experience in a Manufacturing environment required
5 years of supervisory experience
Hands-on, direct experience with international suppliers
Experience with Excel, Word, MRP/ERP system, Transportation Management System (TMS)
Previous experience with MRP/ERP implementation including comprehensive understanding of bills of material
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field

Preferred

Syspro knowledge preferred
APICS certification is a plus
