Teacher of the Hearing Impaired
The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction is seeking applicants for a Teacher of the Hearing Impaired for their Office of Exceptional Children. The primary purpose of the position is to provide itinerant, early intervention services to infants and toddlers with hearing loss, ensuring they receive the necessary support in various natural environments.

Responsibilities
Provide itinerant, early intervention services to infants and toddlers eligible to receive special education and related services for hearing loss under Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
Serve infants and toddlers ages birth to three years
Provide support in their home, childcare setting, or other natural environments
Document experience in public education teaching children birth to 3 and/or 3-21
Document experience with federal and state special education policies, practices, or procedures (e.g. IDEA Part C)
Demonstrate experience utilizing and/or managing web-based applications and/or databases (e.g. Microsoft Office software, Google, Apple software)
Additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Active NC teaching license
Documented experience in public education teaching children birth to 3 and/or 3-21
Documented experience with federal and state special education policies, practices, or procedures (e.g. IDEA Part C)
Demonstrated experience utilizing and/or managing web-based applications and/or databases (e.g. Microsoft Office software, Google, Apple software)
