Responsibilities
Guide the Finance team in the preparation of accurate financial statements, including advising regarding the treatment of complex transactions
Prepare annual budgets, report out results to department heads, and periodically to full organization
Assist the Operations team with global inventory and COGS planning
Review the accuracy of order processing in Odoo and data flows into QuickBooks
Manage and improve the flow of data throughout the sales cycle
Identify and communicate cash flow drivers for cash flow projections
Oversee and assist with payroll, sales tax and VAT issues and reporting (as managed by Finance Manager and external VAT advisors)
Manage tax planning and income tax preparation with the external CPA firm
Evaluate spending requests against budgets and cash flow
Evaluate, recommend and implement investment and/or financing strategies
Qualification
Required
4-5 years of relevant experience in accounting for a small- to medium-sized business
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant business or finance field - accounting degree or CPA is a plus
Experience supervising a team, and working in a cross-functional team-based leadership environment
Affinity for problem-solving, close attention to detail, and overall financial aptitude and common sense
Comfort with working independently and owning follow-through
Ability to multitask, pivot, manage multi-part projects, and work collaboratively with other leaders in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Comfort with accounting concepts specific to a manufacturing environment
Understanding of e-commerce tools and concepts
Deep knowledge of accounting, payroll, sales tax, and income/franchise tax concepts
Experience with QuickBooks Online, Gusto, and Avalara is a bonus
