Responsibilities

Design and simulate next-generation and proprietary ranging and sensing protocols at the PHY layer
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to comprehend requirements and develop builds that align with those requirements
Collaborate with hardware and firmware designers to ensure robust, flexible, and power- and area-efficient implementations
Test, characterize, validate, and bring up the ranging and sensing designs on pre-silicon and silicon platforms to ensure optimized performance and robustness

Required

BS with a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience
Strong understanding of communication theory, information theory, or signal processing
Knowledge of ranging and sensing protocols, such as IEEE 802.11az, IEEE 802.11bf, IEEE 802.11bk, IEEE 802.15.4z, IEEE 802.15.4ab
Experience designing PHY algorithms for wireless communication systems
Experience developing ranging and sensing algorithms
Experience implementing and simulating system models in MATLAB, Python, or C/C++
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

MSEE or Ph.D. preferred, with a focus on communication systems or signal processing
Strong analytical skills to develop best-in-class designs in terms of performance, power, and area
Experience testing ranging and sensing designs in real-world environments
Experience with multi-resolution algorithms that are used to estimate the first path of arrival for ranging
Experience developing algorithms that lead to hardware- and firmware-friendly designs
Hands-on experience with testing, characterization, and bring-up of silicon in the lab
Experience with lab equipment, such as spectrum analyzer, signal generator
