Lighting Services National Account Manager

The Lighting Services National Account Manager is responsible for driving sales growth in energy efficiency products and services by building client relationships and managing projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities
Develops new business by analyzing account potential; initiating, developing, and closing sales; recommending new applications and sales strategies
Identifies potential in accounts by studying current business; interviewing key customer personnel and company personnel who have worked with customer; identifying and evaluating additional needs; analyzing opportunities
Initiates sales process by building relationships; qualifying potential; scheduling appointments
Develops sales by making initial presentation; explaining product and service enhancements and additions; introducing new products and services
Assists in new applications by conferring with solutions engineering
Closes sales by overcoming objections; preparing contracts
Contributes information to sales strategies by evaluating current product results; identifying needs to be filled; monitoring competitive products; analyzing and relaying customer reactions
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
Lead and manage lighting projects from concept to completion
Coordinate with clients, Internal team to ensure project requirements are met
Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource plans
Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet objectives
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts
Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement
Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in energy efficiency
Maintain in-depth knowledge of our energy efficiency products and services
Educate clients on the benefits and cost savings of energy-efficient solutions
Qualification
Required
Lighting and energy efficiency Industry experience is required
5+ years sales experience exceeding quotas
Stable employment history
Strong understanding of energy efficiency practices
Excellent sales skills
Ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
Preferred
Bachelor's or master's degree with a concentration in marketing, promotions, advertising sales, or business administration preferred
