Research Coordinator I - FIBER Community Resilience and Service Programs
The University of Florida’s Florida Institute for Built Environment Resilience (FIBER) is seeking a Research Coordinator I to support major FIBER initiatives focused on disaster resilience and community resilience. The role involves coordinating day-to-day operations, building partnerships, assisting with program development, and ensuring compliance with policies.

Responsibilities
Coordinates the day-to-day operations of FIBER and FIBER-involved programs, including program planning, reporting, and evaluation
Coordinates research/project team meetings
Assist with fiscal processes and procedures to compliance with UF, state, and federal policies
Maintain program data, performance metrics, and reporting systems to assess progress and outcomes
Provides guidance to program staff, AmeriCorps members, student employees, and volunteers, coordinates recruitment, onboarding, and training
Build and sustain partnerships with UF units, local governments, community organizations, funders and industry including database of community contacts for FIBER programs
Assist faculty with proposal development and sustainability-related activities by coordinating materials, timelines, and required inputs
Assist faculty with implementation of education, research, or service programs (e.g. the Master of Resilient Urban Design Program)
Support program development, accreditation, and administrative approval processes
Support logistical coordination of studios, field trips, workshops, outreach, and other program activities/events
Perform additional duties as assigned by FIBER leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in public administration, education, business management; an allied design field (architecture, planning, construction management, landscape architecture); sustainability studies or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
Master's degree in community development, allied design field, education, management, or environmental sciences
Two or more years of experience managing programs, preferably within AmeriCorps, higher education, or non-profit sectors
Demonstrated fiscal management and grant compliance experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership, organization, and interpersonal skills
