HR MANAGER

They are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations at their dynamic manufacturing facility, focusing on employee relations, talent acquisition, performance compliance, and health and safety responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Foster a culture of trust through an open-door leadership style, consistent communication, and proactive engagement strategies
Support strong relationships across all departments and facilitate diagonal-slice meeting participation
Lead recruitment for full-time, part-time, interns, and contract roles
Conduct onboarding and orientation for all employees and support training programs required by plant needs and legal standards
Manage performance reviews, coaching, disciplinary processes, and terminations
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws, safety laws, and HR policy standards
Maintain HRIS systems and oversee payroll processes
Coordinate plant health and safety programs, Joint Health & Safety Committee meetings, and safety audits
Support environmental management activities and contribute to ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 compliance efforts
Take immediate action on any safety-related concerns, including halting production when necessary
Guide HR KPIs, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
Support corporate social responsibility activities and North America HR team collaboration
Represent the company in litigation, OSHA matters, and labor relations when required

Required

Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field
5+ years of HR experience, including 3+ years in a managerial role
Strong communication, organizational, and coaching skills
Knowledge of employment law, safety regulations, payroll systems, HRIS (SAP, SuccessFactors), and KPI reporting
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs

Preferred

Master's/PHR/SPHR
JIS/JIT automotive manufacturing experience
Union labor experience is a plus but not required
Confidentiality & professionalism
Strong computer & presentation skills
Ability to multitask and delegate effectively
Experience with continuous improvement initiatives
