Responsibilities
Advising on a broad range of trademark matters with an emphasis on clearance, prosecution and dispute work
Managing a large global trademark docket
Solving highly complex issues in creative and effective ways while maintaining an acceptable level of legal risk
Providing legal support for all Apple products and businesses worldwide
Qualification
Required
JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar
5+ years as a practicing attorney in trademark law with extensive US and international experience in clearance, prosecution, licensing, and dispute work
Significant experience prosecuting trademark applications at the USPTO, with insight and knowledge of USPTO and TTAB procedures
Experience managing foreign counsel on international clearance, prosecution and disputes
Experience (at a major law firm and/or in-house) working on trademark issues
A high degree of self-sufficiency, independent judgment, and a results-oriented approach
Preferred
Self-starter who can learn quickly and has ability to adapt to changing priorities
Ability to work independently managing a busy day to day portfolio and collaborate with a large team
Detail oriented and able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
Works well under pressure in a fast-moving environment
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver practical business advice
Strong business acumen with the ability to exercise sound commercial and legal judgment
Creative problem-solver with ability to resolve complex issues in creative and efficient ways
Collaborative team player with a client-focused approach
Experience in technology and consumer electronics industries is a plus
