Wabtec Corporation is a leading global provider of equipment and services for the transportation industry. They are seeking an Assembler 1- Airbrake Technician responsible for disassembling components using hand and power tools and maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

Responsibilities

Follow detailed disassembly instructions, processes, and procedures

Disassembles components by utilizing hand and power tools

Cleans and buffs components

Wash components in solvent and run parts through parts washer

Blowout parts to remove solvent and dirt

Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with 5S protocol

Make sure that schedules are being run exactly as they are listed

Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)

Turn off equipment when not in use

Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification

Basic mechanicsHand toolsPneumatic toolsAttention to detailBasic reading skillsBasic arithmetic skillsBasic writing skills

Required

High school degree or equivalent preferred

Knowledge of basic mechanics

Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Perform the same task repeatedly

Ability to stand in one place for 10 hours a day
