Responsibilities

Oversee and support daily accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, and General Ledger activities

Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis

Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reports to provide actionable insights for leadership

Coordinate and lead year-end financial audit, serving as primary liaison with external auditors

Supervise and develop accounting staff, assigning tasks, providing training, mentoring, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Ensure timely filing and compliance for all tax obligations, including estimated taxes, state nexus requirements, property taxes, and management of abatements

Maintain and enhance internal controls and compliance frameworks to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to GAAP and regulatory requirements

Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, including analysis of actual vs. budget performance and recommendations for improvement

Other duties as assigned to support organizational goals and strategic initiatives

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

5-10 years of progressive experience, including month-end close, financial reporting, general ledger management, and supervisory experience

High degree of literacy

Excellent math skills

Ability to read, write, and speak English. Must write legibly

Ability to communicate with and maintain positive interpersonal skills with all members of the organization; ability to negotiate to arrive at decisions

Ability to perform deskwork and walking for periods of up to 12 hours; ability of eyesight and hearing (corrected), ability to lift 40 pounds

Physical dexterity and ability to navigate around office area, warehouse, manufacturing equipment and around a crowded and busy working area
