Sustaining Reliability Engineering Technician

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain test setups for complex powertrain and battery test equipment
Execute reliability tests while minimizing equipment downtime
Troubleshoot test and equipment issues and communicate findings to test engineers
Fabricate test fixtures and instrumentation using a variety of materials
Disassemble and reassemble production and prototype hardware
Perform routine maintenance on laboratory test equipment
Create and maintain electronic standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Train team members on standardized procedures and lab practices
Document daily work electronically and participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment
Work collaboratively in a team-based engineering environment
Support off-shift work when required

Required

Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience (2+ years)
Experience with laboratory test equipment and instrumentation
Ability to read electrical schematics
Proficiency with hand and power tools
Comfortable using computers and electronic documentation systems
Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
Dependable and self-sufficient in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Knowledge of low-voltage electronics
Experience with high-voltage battery systems or relevant certifications
Familiarity with reliability testing and test cells
Experience operating forklifts and cranes
