Responsibilities
Plan, design, build and maintain software products
Neural Payments software is cloud native and highly automated. As such, we are always supporting and expanding our automation and maintenance tooling
Design software architecture and implementation details from highly dynamic interactions with the business and customers
Perform code reviews and deployments
Support infrastructure, automation, and tooling
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project goals, scope, and timelines
Maintain system health and uptime
Drive improvements to system performance, monitoring, automation, maintainability, and extensibility
Dive into solving occasional service disruptions
Help customers with onboarding, reporting, and technical support
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of professional software development experience
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts effectively
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Strong work ethic; a highly motivated self starter and amicable team player
Comfort with and enthusiasm about AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor is required
Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages
Strong SQL skills are required
Strong experience with any relational database engine
Strong git skills are required
Strong knowledge of at least one cloud environment (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure)
Willingness to work from the office in either Nashville, TN or Cincinnati, OH metro areas about once per week
Preferred
Proficiency in Rust, Python & Django, React & Typescript, and Postgres is highly desirable
Proficiency with Postgres or Google CloudSQL is a plus
Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a significant plus
Proficiency with Terraform, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Build, and github is highly desirable
Previous fintech experience would be a significant plus
Previous fintech or financial services experience is a plus
