Attorney III

The California Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) is responsible for ensuring health plan members have access to quality health care. Responsibilities

Providing direction and leadership pertaining to plan benefits and plan and provider payment, risk and delegation arrangements, implementation of compliance with Director’s Letters, review of complex legal matters and conduct legal research in connection with the administration and regulation of health plans pursuant to the Knox-Keene Health Care Service Plan Act of 1975 (Act) and the implementation of Federal Health Care Reform

Preferred

Seeking expertise in health care service plan programs, benefits, operations, reform and trends
Seeking experience in health care law
Background specialty in the health care industry
Ability to provide consultation services to management
Ability to provide leadership and assistance in developing and implementing new policies and procedures
Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing
Ability to use good judgment in following established program procedures
Ability to adjust to shifting priorities and meet stated deadlines
