Senior Financial Planning Analyst

Balfour & Co is seeking a Senior Financial Planning Analyst who will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to ensure accurate financial reporting. This role involves providing critical support through in-depth financial analysis and delivering insights to various stakeholders for informed business decisions.

Consumer Services

Responsibilities

Assist in the development and execution of annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes
Reconcile monthly close data between financial systems and reporting outputs to ensure accuracy
Maintain and update the financial reporting database to support timely and reliable reporting
Prepare and distribute seasonal, weekly, and monthly sales reports, internal KPI dashboards, and variance analyses
Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support management decision-making and special projects
Perform all other duties as assigned or required to support financial planning and reporting activities

Required

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint for communication and reporting
Detail-oriented with solid knowledge of GAAP accounting procedures and financial reporting practices
Ability to safeguard sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Self-motivated, capable of working independently, and able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and management
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under time pressure
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
3–5+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, with emphasis on financial planning and analysis

Preferred

Experience with data mining and reporting tools preferred (JD Edwards, AS400, NetSuite, Catalyst)
Experience in corporate financial reporting and forecasting preferred
