Responsibilities
Scale lab throughput and reliability
Own pre analytics and sample operations
Build the operating system (LIMS plus SOPs plus metrics)
Transfer assays from R&D into Operations
Transfer assays into partner CLIA CAP labs
Manage vendors and partner labs
Build and lead the lab ops team from ground up
Cover operational administration during the transition phase
Stay hands on where it matters
Qualification
Required
7 plus years in molecular diagnostics or genetic testing operations with direct experience scaling throughput
Deep experience with next generation sequencing workflows, including library prep and QC, and operationalizing them across teams
Proven experience implementing or owning LIMS in a production setting, not just selecting software
Track record of assay transfer across organizations, including vendor or CLIA CAP partner handoff
Strong operational instincts: throughput, cost per sample, failure modes, rework, and turnaround time
Comfort in startup reality: you build the system and you run the system
Preferred
Experience with clinical sample chains of custody and audit trails
Familiarity with automation platforms and scaling lab workflows
Prior experience supporting clinical trials, including sample logistics and multi site coordination
