Goodyear is one of the world's largest tire companies, and they are seeking a Legal Counsel to join their Sales Americas Legal Team. The Legal Counsel will provide legal advice on various issues impacting the organization, draft and negotiate contracts, and support clients with strategic projects and compliance matters.

Responsibilities

Counsel Goodyear business partners on a wide range of legal issues impacting the organization and its business objectives

Structure, draft, review and negotiate complex sales, distribution and marketing related contracts of various size and scope for clients

Provide day-to-day legal advice regarding sales, distribution, advertising, marketing, promotions and Goodyear’s brand sponsorships

Assist clients with strategic projects relating to new products, services and business models

Develop and deliver training to clients on various legal topics and policies

Support clients in connection with contract disputes and settlement discussions

Counsel and advise clients on applicable laws and regulations, evaluate and mitigate risk, and ensure compliance with Company policy

Assist and coordinate with other attorneys in the Goodyear Law Department as needed

Required

A Law degree from an accredited U.S. law school and a member of the bar (not state specific)

4+ years of general business law experience at a major law firm and/or in-house corporate legal department, including commercial law and wide-ranging contract experience

Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work and gain trust at all levels of the organization

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
