Responsibilities

Assist in representing clients in criminal matters in Baltimore MD Superior Court and local jurisdictions

Support senior attorneys with all stages of criminal cases, including client intake, discovery review, investigation, motions, plea negotiations, and trial preparation

Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and memoranda

Participate in hearings and trials under supervision

Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed and supported throughout their cases

Collaborate with attorneys, investigators, and paralegals to ensure high-quality representation

Qualification

Required

1-2 years of criminal defense experience in Maryland

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Active member in good standing with the MD Bar (required)

Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases with attention to detail

Demonstrated commitment to zealous and ethical client advocacy
