Norway Savings Bank is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to join their team. This role is responsible for the development, execution, and oversight of the Bank’s Internal Audit Program, focusing on risk-based auditing and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the development, execution, and ongoing oversight of the Bank’s Internal Audit Program, with a strong focus on risk-based auditing and regulatory compliance

Manages relationships with third-party audit firms, coordinates all internal and external audit activities, oversees FDICIA control identification and testing, and tracks remediation of audit, compliance, and examination findings

Serve as the primary liaison for regulatory examinations and will prepare reporting for the Audit Committee, ensuring the Bank maintains a strong internal control environment aligned with regulatory expectations

Required

Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Business Administration; or equivalent work experience

Proficiency in application of internal auditing theory, standards, procedures and techniques

Proficiency in accounting principles and techniques

Thorough knowledge of bank operations and control systems

An understanding of audit principles and methodologies

Ability to read, analyze and interpret government regulations, trade journals and legal documents

Must have strong written communications skills, including letter and report writing ability

Must be able to prioritize and organize work flow; must have good attention to detail; must be able to handle multiple jobs

Must possess a valid driver's license, the use of a serviceable automobile that is properly registered and proper liability automobile insurance as required by state law

Preferred

Professional certifications, such as CPA, Certified Information Systems Auditor or Certified Fraud Examiner are also desired, but are not required
