Billing Systems Analyst
ActiveCampaign is the autonomous marketing platform for people at the heart of the action. The Billing Systems Analyst will help improve and scale subscription billing and revenue processes, ensuring billing accuracy and compliance while driving significant process automation.

Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end billing operations, meticulously managing subscription lifecycle activities (orders, renewals, amendments) and supporting invoice creation, adjustments, and refunds
Configure and maintain billing system settings, product catalogs, pricing rules, and system integrations between our CRM, billing platform, ERP, and payment processors
Drive automation of manual processes and close tasks, consistently looking for opportunities to enhance efficiency and optimize our overall Order-to-Cash performance
Troubleshoot billing errors, resolve subscription discrepancies, and maintain data quality across accounts and transactions to support month-end close and audit preparation
Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Engineering, Product, and RevOps to ensure alignment, resolve issues, and provide data-driven reporting on billing accuracy and revenue trends
Qualification
Required
3+ years of hands-on experience in billing operations, finance systems, revenue operations, or the broader Order-to-Cash cycle, ideally within a SaaS or subscription business
Solid understanding of the subscription lifecycle, SaaS financial concepts, and experience supporting month-end close, audits, and revenue processes
Experience with any modern subscription billing platform (e.g., Zuora, Stripe Billing, Salesforce Billing, NetSuite, Chargebee, Recurly, Sage Intacct)
A process-improvement mindset with a proven ability to design and implement solutions focused on automation and scalability
Exceptional analytical skills and comfort with data (SQL, Excel, or BI tools experience is a plus), with the talent to distill complex system issues into clear, actionable resolutions
Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively bridge technical and non-technical teams, acting as a trusted liaison between Finance and Engineering
Preferred
Prior experience in configuring or administering Zuora Billing or Zuora Revenue is highly valued
Familiarity with workflow automation tools (e.g., Zuora Workflow, Salesforce Flow, Workato, Zapier) or exposure to revenue models and payment processors (Stripe, Adyen, PayPal, Braintree)
