Responsibilities
Lead HR projects that support organizational growth, acquisitions, and HR department start-ups
Partner with executives to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business priorities
Assist in building HR functions for new facilities, including onboarding, training, and workforce planning
Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and compliance, with expertise in Illinois and federal employment laws
Support talent acquisition, retention, and development across the region
Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, programs, and policies
Apply critical thinking and resolution-oriented problem solving to complex HR challenges
Serve as a trusted advisor to regional leadership and cross-functional teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or closely related field
5 years' experience in Human Resources
Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and collective bargaining processes
Proven experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce a large volume of material with attention to detail
Computer knowledge that includes Excel, Word, Outlook
Preferred
PHR, SPHR or relevant Human Resources certifications or advanced degree
5 years' experience in Human Resources with focus on employee relations and/or labor relations experience
