Empiric is seeking a Data Engineer with hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience to support the development, optimization, and maintenance of modern data solutions. This role will work closely with analytics, BI, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable data pipelines and models within the Microsoft ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric (including Data Engineering and Data Factory capabilities)
Develop and optimize Lakehouse and warehouse solutions
Ingest, transform, and model data from multiple source systems
Write and optimize SQL for data transformation and analytics use cases
Support downstream reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI)
Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across pipelines
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand data requirements
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in production environments

Required

3+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets
Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines
Familiarity with data modeling concepts and best practices
Experience working within the Microsoft data ecosystem

Preferred

Experience with Power BI and semantic models
Exposure to Azure data services
Python or other scripting experience
Experience supporting analytics or BI teams
