The role involves providing critical support to media encoding platforms and workflows, troubleshooting complex partner and vendor integrations, and managing live video and event pipelines.

Responsibilities

After hours and weekend support for live video, special events and sports
Manage game/event time VOD and live clip pipelines
Video and audio encoding and HLS pipeline support and operations
Live linear encoding monitoring, alert and triage

Required

Experience diagnosing technical issues
Knowledge of process management, metrics and KPIs
Familiar with digital media files and content
Familiar with video playback technologies, Digital Rights Management, HTTP Live Streaming, video acquisition and distribution, monitoring and reporting
Knowledge of video ecosystem: delivery and processing of large scale VOD and EST video and audio
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to understand technical concepts and connect with non-technical customers
Bachelor's degree, or 4 years equivalent work experience
This role will require after-hours and weekend support

Preferred

Familiar with live broadcast environments, operational workflows and transport technologies
Experience with SQL
Experience with XML
Comfortable with command line tools (chmod, curl, grep, ssh, scp)
Experience working with observability tools (Grafana, DataDog)
Experience with Python
