Accounting Spceialist
Harris Williams is a global investment bank specializing in M&A and private capital advisory services. They are seeking an Accounting Specialist to support the firm’s financial functions, ensuring compliance and providing customer service related to expenses.
Investment Banking
Responsibilities
Approves expense reports to ensure compliance with firm’s expense policy
Updates and maintains expense reimbursement platform for all employees
Provides expense-related customer service to the firm
Responds to internal customer and vendor correspondence
Processes invoices within the procurement system
Reviews potential coding errors before integration
Responsible for reconciling specified general ledger accounts
Assist with Finance projects and research as required
Provides support in all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Post-Secondary Degree (focus on accounting or related field a plus)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook), particularly Excel
Excellent organization and attention to detail while handling multiple assignments effectively and efficiently
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to facilitate engaging presentations to audiences that may include senior leadership
Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to generate sound professional relationships in order to successfully, effectively and collaboratively work in a team environment
Ability to self-motivate and work independently with minimal supervision
Results focused with the ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
In order to be considered, you must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Roles at this level typically require an Associates or equivalent degree as well as related experience or product knowledge to accomplish primary duties
Typically requires 3+ years experience
In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered
